It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

I love asian ball jointed dolls - or bjds. So much so that I finally, with the help of some friends and some awesome strangers, got one of my own.

GET OOOOOONE.

I really want one of the ones called PukiPuki (made by Fairyland). I didn't like them at all looking at the site - until I went to a meet and realized that they're smaller then the width of my palm.... and I have tiny palms. - They're like 4 inches tall. wtfsocute. and (comparatively) they're fairly cheap to the rest of the dolls.

Actually, there's a company holding a special right now which is like... two dolls for $165 (maybe less?) I think. OR something. I'll ask my roommate since she really wanted one of those and send you the link. If it's cheap enough, would you be interested maybe? You guys could do a split and we could ship you the other doll.

I really want to go to a meet ;u; It's so hard to tell exactly what they look like from the website pics. I remember a while ago, I came across a doll that really didn't appeal to me... then I saw a person who owned one with darker skin and FRECKLES. And it's seriously my favorite doll ever now.

Holy shit XD Gimme the link please! I don't have any money, but maybe I could scrounge some up for that price~ Do you know if it's a limited number of dolls, or just for a limited amount of time? I'd be totally interested if I could get that much money together XDD

There is the link to the event doll. You could choose between the four different dolls - and (assuming you got makeup) your price would be $82.50 without tax and shipping.

Uhm - you can find the other dolls under event heads on the left side.

And..... since you're awesome, if you want me to, I'll do your faceup/makeup for free if you don't want to pay for makeup from them and you don't want to do it yourself (although, it IS very fun).
