I WANNA LEARN IT SO BAD.

German is such an awesome language and if I ever get a chance I want to go back to Zurich, Switerland and find that shop owner who was so nice to me and chat with him for another 4 hours.  And I wanna actually STAY in Germany for a while since I was only there for a night on a layover wait for our flight home.

Maybe this summer.  I don't have a lot of trouble reading it but I have no idea what's going on usually when it's being spoken and I can't speak it hardly at all except for a few key words like Bitte and Danke and other similar stuff.  And I can say "I am a little kitten" but.... I don't really think that's a phrase I should tell strangers if I go to germany.  Lol.

So....

Yeah.  Ranting done.

Also, COLORS Charity Artbook is still open for pre-orders!  Please go here for more information:  [link]

It's an interesting language - I started self-teaching myself from the internet a few years back, and it was amazing how well it stuck in my head. I still want to learn it now.

How about those helpful study books that are meant for schoolkids? I picked a French one up and that was pretty good.

LOL! No way, you should totally tell EVERYONE that XDDD <3

Man, I'd love to learn German. I have absolutely no drive, however, so I'm bad at learning languages D:

I love German, it's so similar to English (to me anyway) and therefore very easy to learn. :D

I took German back in middle school. The middle school and high schools offered Spanish, German, and French. French looked hard and everyone was taking Spanish, so I took German to be different. I found out that I had made a good choice because it's a very easy language. Which is good because I slacked off alot and still managed to get an A. Sadly, I didn't continue it into high school due to scheduling difficulties (way too many required classes and not enough room for electives). Now high school is over and I can only remember so much...damn! :( I should brush up on it again.

I took french in elementary and beginning of middle school and then latin the last two years of middle school and then spanish for three years of high school. I loved French - Latin was like speaking spells all the time (lol awesome) and.... omg I hated Spanish. I was just no good at it.

But yeah. What little german I can read, I picked up fairly quickly. I like reading kids books in german because they use more common words and it helps me understand the grammer a bit better.

Latin!?? You lucky dog! I've been wanting to learn Latin FOREVER! I try to teach myself from what I can find in books and online, but it's probably better just to find a damn teacher. I don't care if it's a dead language, I still love it.

You took French in elementary school? Where did YOU go? I agree though, Spanish is just... :(

German was so much fun to learn. We did all these dorky games and watched movies dubbed in German. Our teacher even had her old host family from Germany come visit and they gave us all chocolate. I miss that class.
